Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to SONUS-SPEC ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our audio metadata analysis web application.

2. Google Drive Integration & Scopes

Our application utilizes the Google Drive API to allow you to seamlessly import your personal audio files directly into your browser for analysis. To provide this functionality, we request the following OAuth scope:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive: We use this purely to trigger the Google Drive File Picker so you can select audio files or archives.

Important disclosure regarding your Google Data:We explicitly request read-only access for the singular purpose of loading your chosen file into the browser memory. We do not read your files without your explicit selection, we do not store your Drive contents on our servers, and we never share or sell your Google Drive data to third parties. All audio metadata analysis is performed locally.

3. Data Processing and Storage

We proudly employ a local-first computing model. When you upload or import an audio file into SONUS-SPEC, the deep metadata parsing and waveform generation occur entirely within your browser's local sandbox via Web Workers. We do not transmit the physical audio file bytes to our web hosting servers for analysis.

4. Analytics and Tracking

We do not deploy invasive third-party tracking scripts, advertising networks, or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytical data collected is strictly anonymized and used exclusively to maintain server health and improve the application's core functionality.
